Caught Yi Han's play, Monsoon at Seng Kang CC yesterday.



I was actually quite impressed by the plot. It's about this girl who's allergic to sunlight and can only be out during the monsoon season. So it progresses to a love story between her and an aspiring weatherman. Over-protection from the girl's mum is the key development in the story. 

I felt that the cast was great! This play was done by the Yellow Chair Productions, which was founded by a group of passionate youths. So the cast of this whole play are all youths with a passion for acting. The lead actor was absolutely awesome, not to neglect the lead actress, who did not too bad. And Yi Han was great! Injecting humour when the story gets a tad dull from the talking. Haha. 

Honestly, the play fell a little short of my expectations. Or maybe mine was too high. I thought the storyline was excellent to began with..But the development was not what i expected. 

But seeing the cries and the hugs after the show ended was really heart-warming. They're youths my age already chasing their dreams! Can't imagine the amount of sweat and time they put in. Makes me feel ashamed of myself sometimes. =(

Anyway, congrats to them!! Yi Han, if u're reading this, u did a great job as a drag queen! HAhahaha. Great work!
